Our Vision
Cameye Arts envisions a world where underrepresented communities are empowered through digital storytelling, igniting change and fostering a deeper understanding of diverse narratives.
We believe that every story has the potential to inspire action and create a more inclusive society.
Our Story
Cameye Arts CIC was founded by Ana de Matos, a queer filmmaker, visual anthropologist, yogi, and passionate advocate for social change. The idea for Cameye Arts emerged while Ana was leading filmmaking workshops at the Stratford Youth Zone, where she witnessed firsthand the profound impact that imagination, creativity, and support can have on individuals. These experiences highlighted the transformative power of creative expression, inspiring her to establish Cameye Arts as a platform for empowerment and growth.
Cameye Arts has been laying the groundwork for long-term organisational sustainability and growth. Based in Newham, we are committed to serving our local community while also setting our sights on expanding into other parts of London. Through creative projects and multimedia storytelling, we aim to spark lasting change in underrepresented communities, helping people to connect with their own potential and the world around them.
Our Mission
As a digital storytelling arts agency, we craft digital narratives that blend creativity and social consciousness to raise awareness and encourage individuals to become agents of change.
By amplifying underrepresented voices and celebrating cultural heritage, we create impactful stories that resonate with audiences and inspire collective action.
