Ana de Matos
Ana (she/they) is a queer filmmaker, visual anthropologist and creative producer with nearly two decades of experience documenting the UK’s arts and cultural landscape - collaborating with leading institutions, grassroots communities and hundreds of artists. Ana blends artistic vision with strategic delivery - having successfully led three Arts Council England Project Grants, a Commonwealth Broadcasting Association award, and most recently secured a major National Lottery Heritage Fund grant. Known for her ability to direct, shoot, edit and build deep community partnerships, Ana brings cinematic craft and discipline to every story - while holding space for joy, playfulness and presence.
Suzie Boavida
CO-DIRECTOR
Suzie (she/her) is an ex-Medical Doctor and international film and television executive with over ten years of working in the creative industries. At Warner Bros, Suzie acted in a Chief of Staff role for the UK and Spanish office and was one of the key executives managing the Harry Potter franchise at a global level. She holds an MBA from London Business School. In 2021, Suzie co-founded Magic Dust Visual effects, a London-headquartered visual effects company, with Ahmed Yousry, a VFX supervisor.

He founded Hackney Tours as a way of sharing his enthusiasm for our surroundings but also exploring the many issues thrown up by a changing city in a changing world.

Lynn Lu

Lynn (she/her) is a performance artist that exhibits, performs, and lectures extensively worldwide. Recent venues include SFMOMA (2021), National Gallery Singapore (2021), Science Gallery London (2017), Saatchi Gallery (2017). Lynn will be working on the artistic, performative and exhibition side of your projects.

Wajid Yaseen
MENTOR / PARTNER
Wajid (he/him) directs Modus Arts, a community-interest organisation and Arts Council NPO – that draws on interdisciplinary and collaborative approaches to developing public-facing sound-based artworks and events. Wajid is a mentor and partner in the development of our projects.

Guy Harries
ASSOCIATE ARTIST
Guy (he/him) is a composer, sound artist and performer, working with electronics, acoustic instruments, voice and cross-disciplinary collaboration. He is a senior lecturer in music, and co-director of the research centre CPAD (Centre for Performing Arts Development). Guy will be enabling the sonic experiments for community workshops.
