An LGBTQ+ Living Archive of Newham
💬 What We’re Doing:
🎤 Oral histories & filmed testimonies from LGBTQ+ elders and youth
🗺️ Interactive Queer Walking Tours across Newham
🎞️ Documentary film & portraits celebrating overlooked local icons
🌐 A digital archive co-designed with the community
💃🏾 Live events & exhibitions showcasing joy, protest, and pride
✊ Why It Matters:
Because queer history lives in people, not just museums.
Because East London’s LGBTQ+ communities have shaped – and survived – so much.
Because visibility is healing, and storytelling is resistance.
